Nerds on the move
Dear readers,
Once upon a time, an awkward, nerdy producer at CNN.com convinced her bosses it was time to jump on the geek bandwagon – but do it differently.
Instead of producing stories that included little context for the passion people have about comic books, sci-fi, cosplay and all things geeky, we would examine the “why” of nerd culture. We would report on the people and the creative obsessions that drew them together. And, so a blog was born.
Now on CNN.com, you can regularly read stories surrounding nerdy pursuits and geeky events, from webcomics to Dragon*Con. Starting in the new year, we’ll be integrating the geek beat into the Living section at large and archiving Geek Out!

The blog was useless, and as someone else pointed out, only appealed to comic book and fandom 'nerds'. Get a new gig.
Definitely looking forward to more (future?) posts on here. Until then I guess I'll work on making my PC faster and post all the details on http://fixingaslowcomputer.com nothing like a tune up to make the page load faster when the next post comes

So where are these so called articles? It is the new year already and I don't see any "nerd" articles you said would be in the living section. You can't tell me that nothing has happened yet. Even if nothing HAS happened, you can still do product reviews, or just general discussion articles. I see blogs about just one game update more often then this!
This would be a good move, if you posted actualy nerdy things and not about otaku and fandom lunacy. That kind of stuff alienates other people from trying nerdy things, because otakus are crazy! Try some more stories about comics, or non video gaming(since tech has video games). Gencon coverage would be a big step in that direction, so would coverage of one of the big comicons(san diego, new york, or emerald city). Also, if you're going to reccomend webcomics, try a GOOD one, like penny arcade or the adventures of dr mcninja.
Congrats guys! I really enjoy many of the things you blog about here, and enjoy seeing it reach a wider audience, even if I don't always agree. I hope you have another successful year!
